x10 Hosting, Suprisingly Horrible.

Ok so this is kinda a mini-review.


I started my account a long time ago, a year or so. Ive had numerous websites on there and ive never had a problem with them, ever. The admins all seemed really nice and helpful and seemed to help out a lot (a lot, because i had problems pretty much daily with down-time and mysql problems).

One day, i see my account is suspended, this is due to an "Ajax Script", this, admittedly is against their Terms of Service, they say you will be "Suspended" if you are found to be hosting one.

So, fair enough, they suspended my account since i installed one of these scripts (honestly not knowing about the AJAX Chat prohibitance).

So i notice why i was banned and immediately remove the offending script with apologies. So i ask if i can be unsuspended as it is my first offense i was sure they would not mind, now that i know im not allowed them.

Their response: No.

In fact, it seems, if you have been suspended for ajax chat, your "Permanently Suspended", This really is a joke, they wont release my months of work of data in their mysql database simply because of this one accidental offense. Admittedly i should of backed up my data - this is no reason for the attitude i received from an admin, and another "registered user" who the admins seem to have no problem with giving me abuse on the chat for asking "can i have my mysql backup?".

Then they had the cheek to tell me to pay for "premium" to get my details back. whilst the "registered user" was threatening to ban me (without the admins saying anything to intervene, they seemed to agree if i kept asking for a backup they would ban me from their servers).

At this point i got angry and they kicked me from the chat.

So, my personal conslusion (admittedly annoyed);
Do not go with x10hosting. if you make a mistake, you may lose ALL your data. Their free servers, (and even their payed services) are down around %5 of the time (imo, in fact it seemed more than that since 3/5 times i went to check the website it was down, not for short periods either, on average i had to wait around 12 hours before the servers were back up), which, in a day is an hour each day, usually peak times.

If you want a free host i DEFINITELY suggest a more reliable/friendly hosting company. They just don't care how long you spend working on your website, make a mistake and that's it - with the attitude.

and trust me ive said everythign there is to say, this isn't a rant, i could rant so easily with my anger :p. But i decided to give a review of my experience with them, as i said, no problems AT ALL (except constant down-time), with support or anyone until this single mistake which cost me months of work.

x10hosting = Bad. (Due to down-time and leniancy).

It seems they have deleted my data, no chance of getting anythign back, im really, really suprised by their response and attitude towards the situation.
